Once again, AndersenPets participated in the SEOVET Congress, the leading event organized by the Spanish Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology. In this 15th edition, the congress was held at the Gijón Conference Center, changing its traditional location in Madrid and offering a new setting for one of the most important scientific meetings in veterinary ophthalmology in Spain.

The AndersenPets technical-commercial team was present throughout the conference, sharing knowledge, listening to specialists, and presenting our latest developments in veterinary eye health.

SEOVET 2025: advanced corneal, cataract, and glaucoma surgery

The SEOVET Congress brought together veterinarians from all over Spain and Latin America around a high-level scientific program.

The main theme of this edition was advanced corneal and cataract surgery, while the pre-congress was dedicated to glaucoma surgery.

The congress speakers gave lectures of great scientific value, along with free communications and posters that demonstrated the excellent clinical and academic level of the attending professionals.

AndersenPets presents the TheraOftal range of ophthalmic drops at SEOVET

Our participation in SEOVET had a clear objective: to reinforce our commitment to veterinary ophthalmology and officially present our new range of TheraOftal ophthalmic drops. During the congress, ophthalmologists were able to learn in detail about:

TheraOftal IaluDrops, with cross-linked hyaluronic acid for tear film stability.

TheraOftal OsmoDrops, a hyperosmotic solution specifically formulated to reduce corneal edema.

TheraOftal ProtectDrops, focused on protecting and supporting the ocular surface.

The reception was very positive, generating great interest among the Spanish ophthalmological community, especially in the current context where specific solutions are sought that are well tolerated and adapted to the real needs of veterinary clinics.

At AndersenPets, we are committed to veterinary ophthalmology

AndersenPets’ presence at SEOVET reaffirms our commitment to the development and distribution of innovative products in veterinary eye health. Beyond the stand, the congress allowed us to exchange clinical experiences, discuss current protocols, and continue learning from industry leaders.

SEOVET continues to be the essential meeting point for professionals dedicated to veterinary ophthalmology, and for AndersenPets it is a date marked on the calendar.

Next stop: AVEPA-GTA Bilbao

After our participation in SEOVET, our next destination will be the AVEPA-GTA Specialty Congress in Bilbao on April 24 and 25, where we will continue to present our solutions for veterinary clinical practice.

See you at the next event!

On February 23rd and 24th, the XII Veterinary Ophthalmology Congress was held in Madrid, organized by SEOVET (Spanish Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology).

This year, for the third consecutive time, Dr+Vet is once again sponsoring the largest Spanish congress of veterinary ophthalmology, the SEOVET. More than 140 specialists in this field gathered to share impressions and learn from great specialists.

This year the pre-congress started on Friday with the presentation of Laura Muñoz (Founder and Medical Director of OCULARVET). This was followed by the first lecture on photography in ophthalmology given by Javier Esteban of Anicura Ocaña and then the second lecture on photography given by Raquel Udiz. Both talks provided the attending veterinarians with interesting tips to improve their imaging technique and clinical data collection.

In the afternoon the congress started with a lot of enthusiasm from all participants and attendees. During the SEOVET we could enjoy presentations given by Eva Abarca (HV Canis de Mallorca), Manolo Villagrasa (COV, HV Puchol de Madrid), Màrian Matas (Memvet de Palma), Paco Simó (IVO de Barcelona), Ángel Ortillés (Anicura Valencia Sur de Valencia) and Fernando Sanz (Visionvet de Sevilla).

The SEOVET management knew how to organize a truly dynamic, educational and entertaining conference where all veterinarians could learn the latest developments in their field and at the same time fully enjoy the company and gastronomy.

Dr+Vet had the opportunity to present directly to a specialized audience the improved version of our products GLAUCO+ and OCCULUS+.

Glauco+

One of our presentations was Glauco+, a nutritional supplement designed to address the progression of glaucoma in pets. The improved formula, which includes neuroprotective and vasodilator components in addition to citicoline, has attracted a great deal of interest from ophthalmology veterinarians who had long been asking for this improvement over the Glauco formula.

Occulus+

We also share the improvements in Occulus+. With the addition of key nutritional elements and an improved formulation with alpha lipoic acid, Occulus+ reinforces its antioxidant effect on the crystalline lens.

This year at Dr+Vet we have no plans to put on the brakes, so we are already looking forward to the next big event: Iberzoo+Propet. See you again at IFEMA Madrid from March 13-15!

On February 24th and 25th, the XII Veterinary Ophthalmology Congress was held in Madrid, organized by SEOVET (Spanish Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology).

This year we had the opportunity to be sponsors of the largest Spanish congress of veterinary ophthalmology, the SEOVET. Dozens of specialists in this field gathered to share impressions and learn from great national and international names such as Dr. Victoria Espejo (Visualvet) and Dr. John Sapienza (LIVS).

Dr. Victoria Espejo, graduated in ophthalmology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, founder of Visualvet and former president of SEOVET for 4 years, was in charge of leading the pre-congress with a training on electroretinography.

On the other hand, Dr. John Sapienza, a graduate in ophthalmology from the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and head of the ophthalmology department of LIVS (Long Island Veterinary Specialists), led the congress speaking on pathology and surgery of the posterior segment of the eye in dogs.
SEOVET was able to organize a truly dynamic, educational and entertaining conference where everyone was able to learn about the latest developments in their field and at the same time fully enjoy the company and gastronomy.

At Dr+Vet we saw the opportunity to present for the first time to the specialized public the improved version of the already existing Lacrimalis: LACRIMALIS+. The new formula of LACRIMALIS+ offers a higher intake of DHA and EPA, which enhance the effect of our product to improve tear quality. Stay tuned to the next blog posts to find out more!

This year at Dr+Vet we have no plans to slow down, so we are already looking forward to the next big event: Iberzoo+Propet. See you again in Madrid from March 15 to 17!
