1- What is PROTECTDROP?
Sterile protective ophthalmic solution capable of supporting Epithelialization in cases of corneal ulcers or lesions.Supports antibiotic therapy, facilitating the elimination of bacterial biofilm thanks to the combination of lactoferrin and EDTA.
2-Functional Ingredients
The combination of EDTA and lactoferrin slows the degenerative process of the corneal epithelium and accelerates healing. Lactoferrin, normally present in tear fluid, binds to iron, making it inaccessible. Iron deficiency, in addition to counteracting oxidative stress, inhibits the adhesion of bacteria to the corneal surface, preventing biofilm formation.
The chelating action of EDTA acts on the bacterial biofilm and facilitates its elimination; furthermore, EDTA also possesses anticollagenolytic properties.
3-Properties
Theraoftal Protectdrop is a sterile ophthalmic solution for dogs and cats.
Thanks to the combination of lactoferrin and EDTA disodium salt, it promotes re-epithelialization, has a lubricating and protective effect, and can complement any concomitant antibacterial treatment.
4- Instructions for use of PROTECTDROP
Apply 1 or 2 drops in each eye, 2 to 4 times a day for at least 3 or 4 weeks. Continue as needed.
5- Conservation
Store in a dry, cool place, protected from light.
