The AndersenPets – Dr+Vet team was present at the AVEPA-SEVC 2025 Congress, held last week in Seville.

For three intense days, our Sales Manager, Guillem Borrell, and Product Manager, Manel Bolet, represented the brand with energy, professionalism, and great enthusiasm.

A meeting point for clinical veterinarians

AVEPA-SEVC is undoubtedly one of the most important veterinary congresses in Europe, and a space where thousands of professionals gather to share experiences, learn, and discover the latest developments in the sector.

At this year’s event, AndersenPets aimed to further connect with veterinarians, reinforcing its commitment to training, animal health, and nutraceutical innovation.

During the congress, we had the opportunity to present the entire AndersenPets product range, focusing on three key areas:

  • Digestive range: products such as Digestum and Colitum, designed to promote intestinal balance, digestive comfort, and recovery in animals with chronic diarrhea or microbiota imbalances.
  • Metabolic range: featuring Glyco, our liquid nutraceutical formulated to help with obesity and overweight, combining natural satiating and hypoglycemic ingredients.
  • Ophthalmic range: the heart of the brand with Occulus+, Lacrimalis+, Retinae, and Glauco+, a unique line in Europe that addresses everything from dry eye to retinal degeneration and glaucoma, with a scientific approach that complements conventional therapy.

“Many veterinarians were already familiar with our products through clinical use, but this congress was a fantastic opportunity to explain the latest developments, answer questions, and strengthen ties with our partners,” commented Guillem Borrell after the event.

Looking to the Future

Our participation in AVEPA-SEVC 2025 reaffirms AndersenPets’ mission: to collaborate closely with veterinarians, support evidence-based medicine, and offer high-quality products for animal welfare.

We leave the congress proud to be part of such a passionate and committed community, and eager to continue building the future of veterinary health together.

Thank you to everyone who visited us, participated in our activities, and spent time with the team. See you at the next congress… we continue to grow together!

The AndersenPets – Dr+Vet team enthusiastically participated in the ESVO 2025 congress, one of the most important events in European veterinary ophthalmology, held this month in Ghent.

A meeting point for veterinary ophthalmology

Throughout the event, our booth became a meeting point for veterinarians and ophthalmology specialists from all over Europe. Many professionals came to the event, interested in learning about our nutraceutical solutions for animal eye health, such as Lacrimalis+, Occulus+, Retinae, and Glauco+. Our team enjoyed very enriching discussions about the clinical benefits of nutraceuticals for conditions such as dry eye, cataracts, retinopathies, and glaucoma.

“We were surprised to see the level of knowledge and curiosity of international veterinarians regarding nutraceuticals. There is a growing interest in solutions that complement traditional therapies and improve patients’ quality of life,” commented Manel Bolet, Product Manager at AndersenPets.

Science, learning, and relationships

Beyond the presentations and scientific exchange, the congress was an opportunity to learn from leading European ophthalmologists, attend keynote presentations, and establish new connections with European clinics and distributors interested in incorporating our products. Among the most talked-about talks were those by David Gould, Christine Heinrich, and Simon Petersen-Jones, who provided an up-to-date perspective on the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases in small animals.

Active participation in social events

ESVO is not just about science—it’s also about community—and AndersenPets wanted to be present at the social events and networking events that accompanied the congress.
These informal gatherings allowed us to strengthen ties with colleagues, distributors, and international partners, exchange ideas, and, above all, share our common passion for veterinary ophthalmology.

A very positive outcome

The outcome couldn’t be more encouraging: new collaboration opportunities, real interest in our formulations, and confirmation that AndersenPets is now a recognized brand within the specialized veterinary sector.

“Every conversation, every contact, and every smile at the stand reminds us why we do what we do: bring real value to veterinary practices and improve the eye health of thousands of pets around the world.”

At AndersenPets, we would like to sincerely thank all the professionals who visited us and shared their time with us.

See you at the next edition!

Last Tuesday, September 9th, we held another veterinary training day in Reus, with a huge success in attendance and participation. The event, organized by AndersenPets – Dr+Vet in collaboration with the local distributor Andrés Pintaluba, brought together more than 35 veterinarians from the area who enthusiastically attended to deepen their understanding and management of glaucoma in small animals.

The presentation was given by Maribel Molina, a leading veterinarian in veterinary ophthalmology and director of the Centre Veterinari el Passeig, who addressed one of the greatest challenges in daily clinical practice: the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma.

During the talk, Maribel pointed out that glaucoma is an underdiagnosed disease, often confused with conjunctivitis or dry eye, delaying its detection. However, this is a medical emergency: increased intraocular pressure (IOP) causes irreversible damage to the ocular structures, leading to progressive blindness and, in the most painful cases, enucleation of the affected eye.

Maribel clearly explained how to identify primary glaucoma (of hereditary origin or associated with anatomical malformations) and secondary glaucoma (a consequence of other ocular pathologies such as uveitis, lens dislocation, or neoplasia).

She also emphasized the importance of performing biopsies on enucleated eyes. This practice not only allows for precise etiology but also helps establish preventive strategies for the healthy contralateral eye, preventing future progression to the disease.

The role of neuroprotectors in glaucoma management

One of the highlights of the training was Maribel’s experience with neuroprotectors as part of the therapeutic strategy. Maribel discussed some clinical cases in which, thanks to the combined use of AndersenPets’ Glauco, along with topical medication and regular check-ups, the visual health of glaucoma patients was maintained for more than 5 years.

In summary

The event was not only an opportunity to acquire technical knowledge but also to share experiences among professional colleagues. The reception at Andrés Pintaluba’s facilities was excellent, offering a friendly and professional atmosphere that fostered networking among the attending veterinarians.

At AndersenPets, we continue to support ongoing training as a fundamental pillar to support veterinarians in their daily work. Events like this confirm that collaboration between local distributors, leading veterinarians, and our team is the best way to provide real, evidence-based tools for managing pathologies as complex as glaucoma.

The success of this event encourages us to continue organizing new training sessions in ophthalmology and other key areas of animal health. Our commitment is clear: to stand alongside professionals so that, together, we can improve the well-being of dogs and cats.

Thank you to all attendees for your participation, and we’ll see you at the next training session!

From Dr+Vet – AndersenPets, in collaboration with Andrés Pintaluba, we invite you to a valuable in-person training program for general practitioners on one of the most relevant and challenging ocular pathologies in small animal practice: glaucoma.

Why glaucoma training?

Glaucoma in dogs and cats is a serious ocular pathology that can cause pain and irreversible vision loss if not detected and treated early. Its diagnosis can be complex, and its clinical approach requires up-to-date knowledge and a deep understanding of how the eyeball works. A common misconception is that glaucoma is treated as simple conjunctivitis, without truly addressing the underlying eye problem.

This training program is a unique opportunity for general practitioners, veterinary ophthalmologists in training, or professionals wishing to delve deeper into veterinary ophthalmology, especially in Catalonia and the province of Tarragona.

Who provides the training?

The talk will be given by veterinary ophthalmologist Maribel Molina, a professional at the “El Passeig” clinic in Valls, who also offers outpatient services throughout the Tarragona region.

Maribel will share not only the theoretical basis for glaucoma in dogs and cats, but also her practical approach, including:

How to identify clinical signs in the early stages.

Key diagnostic tools.

New therapeutic and adjuvant strategies.

Real clinical cases.

Where and when?
Tuesday, September 9
C/ Prudenci Bertrana, 5, 43206 Reus
The talk will be given in Catalan.

How to register?

Places are limited, so we recommend booking as soon as possible.
Simply send an email to: ffolch@pintaluba.com indicating your name, profession, and veterinary center.

At AndersenPets – Dr+Vet, we continue to focus on quality ongoing training for veterinary professionals. See you in Tarragona on September 9th to talk about ophthalmology, share knowledge, and continue improving our patients’ eye health together!

On July 11th, the AndersenPets – Dr+Vet team traveled to Malaga to participate in a clinical event organized by AMVEAC (the Malaga Association of Clinical Veterinarians). The event was an excellent opportunity to connect with local clinical veterinarians and present our nutraceutical solutions focused on the ocular health of dogs and cats.

The presentation: “Ulcers that do not respond to treatment”

The keynote speaker of the event was veterinary ophthalmologist Mayte Gaviria, who gave a presentation entitled “Ulcers that do not respond to treatment.” In her talk, she addressed in a practical and structured manner the main challenges in diagnosing and managing refractory corneal ulcers, a common but complex problem in everyday veterinary practice.

Among the topics covered were:

Differential diagnosis of ulcers: infectious, indolent, traumatic, etc.

Effective diagnostic techniques to correctly assess the severity and etiology of the lesion.

Antibacterial treatments of choice, including the prescription cascade of the new RD666/2023.

The role of adjuvant products in corneal regeneration, such as artificial tears, wound healing agents, hyaluronic acid eye drops, or even oral support supplements such as Lacrimalis+.

AndersenPets among the sponsors

Our team took the opportunity to briefly present the entire product range in front of the more than 40 attendees who came to the Málaga Palacio Hotel, who showed great interest in them due to their approach.

This event was made possible thanks to the collaboration of various companies in the veterinary sector. We would like to especially thank the AMVEAC association for the initiative to organize this in-person training and our industry colleagues from Dingonatura, Nuserga, and Dômes Pharma for joining and supporting the initiative.

AndersenPets would like to thank all the veterinarians who attended for their interest, active participation, and great atmosphere. It was a pleasure to share knowledge and continue building a community with professionals committed to animal eye health.

See you at the next event!

A new phase that consolidates our identity within the Andersen Group and shapes our international future

For more than four years, Dr+Vet has been a brand closely linked to innovation in veterinary nutraceuticals, especially in the field of ophthalmology. What began as a technical and specialized project has established itself as one of the most recognized ranges of nutraceuticals within the veterinary sector in Spain and beyond.

Today we are taking a firm step towards the future: Dr+Vet is officially becoming AndersenPets.

Why this change now?
The decision to evolve into AndersenPets is not the result of a one-off action or an isolated strategy. It is the result of deep reflection and a clear desire to align our brand identity with the values of the group to which we have belonged since the beginning: the Andersen Group.

As Dag Andersen, CEO of the company, rightly says: “From the beginning, we knew that this project had to grow with personality, technical quality, and an international vision. The change to AndersenPets is a natural evolution that reflects our maturity and strengthens our message as a company committed to animal health.”

In an increasingly professionalized sector, it is essential to have a strong, unique, and distinctive brand. This rebranding allows us to build a clearer, unambiguous identity that is aligned with our origins and the international spirit of the group.

What does AndersenPets mean?

AndersenPets represents the union of our origins (the Andersen company, with more than 50 years of history) with our present and future as a company focused on the health and well-being of pets.

The new name perfectly integrates the veterinary line focused on pets within the Andersen structure, differentiating itself from the group’s other commercial brands, but maintaining the same essence.

AndersenPets is more than just a name change. It is a reaffirmation of our commitment to evidence-based medicine, quality clinical training, and ongoing collaboration with clinical veterinarians and specialists throughout Europe.

What changes does this rebranding entail?

The team remains the same: professionals committed to developing effective, safe, and easy-to-use products for clinical practice. The product range remains the same: from ophthalmic supplements such as Retinae, Occulus+, Glauco+, and Lacrimalis+ to our digestive (Digestum, Colitum) and metabolic (Glyco) solutions. Our values remain unchanged: science, proximity, and collaboration.

What will happen now?

Starting today, we are beginning a gradual brand transition process. For a few months, you will see both identities coexisting: Dr+Vet and AndersenPets. This will affect packaging, communications, social media, and commercial materials.

We want the process to be natural, without affecting our customers or distributors. That is why we are temporarily keeping both brands visible, until the change is complete and recognizable.

Thank you for joining us

This rebranding would not be possible without the trust of everyone who has been part of Dr+Vet until now: veterinarians, distributors, trainers, hospitals, and, of course, the guardians who trust our solutions to improve the lives of their pets.

👉 From now on, follow us as AndersenPets on social media, newsletters, and corporate materials.

Dr+Vet evolves with you. We are now AndersenPets.

From May 5 to 7, part of the Dr+Vet – AndersenPets team traveled to Bologna (Italy) to attend Zoomark 2025, considered one of the most important international trade fairs in the pet care and veterinary industry in Europe.

During three intense days, we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in an environment full of innovation, global brands, emerging startups, distributors and animal health experts. Zoomark is not just a trade show: it is a real meeting point for all those who work for animal welfare from different perspectives.

In addition to visiting numerous stands and getting to know state-of-the-art products, our main objective was to continue to learn about the European market, establish synergies with other companies, discover new trends in nutraceuticals and animal health and, above all, share ideas with professionals from different countries who, like us, are committed to veterinary medicine based on science, commitment and constant improvement.

Zoomark 2025 has also been an excellent opportunity to observe closely how key issues for the future of the sector are evolving: from sustainability in packaging, to the digitalization of veterinary services and the growing importance of e-commerce in the distribution of pet health products.

For us, this type of fairs are fundamental not only to keep us updated, but also to continue building the path we want to walk with AndersenPets: a specialized brand, solid and in constant contact with the real needs of veterinarians and pet guardians.

We return home with a suitcase full of ideas, inspiration and a great desire to continue growing.

Grazie, Zoomark!
